CZR Resources has appointed experienced geologist Stefan Murphy as its new Managing Director. Murphy was most recently the CEO of Northern Territory iron ore developer Nathan River Resources.

CZR Resources has wrapped up an infill drilling campaign designed to grow the reserves and boost anticipated production from 2mt to 3mt per annum at its Robe Mesa iron ore deposit in WA . The updated reserve estimate will feed into an ongoing definitive feasibility study that will benefit from the infill drilling campaign consisting of 164 RC holes for 7,803 metres within the resource envelope.

CZR Resources has received assays from the first 55 holes of a larger drill campaign that indicate the potential for a massive upgrade to direct shipping iron ore resources at Robe Mesa in the Pilbara. Resource increases are anticipated from extensive mineralized hits outside current resource blocks and from the lower ore horizon below existing pit designs.

West Australian iron ore player CZR Resources has received more assays that seemingly support its strategy to grow mine life and production rates at its Robe Mesa iron ore project in the west Pilbara. The company says the project is poised for significant growth as the latest assays continue to reveal extensive direct shipping ore mineralisation from the surface and outside the resource area.

CZR Resources has increased the mineral resource at its Robe Mesa iron ore project in the Pilbara by more than 50 per cent whilst maintaining an iron ore grade of 56 per cent. Assay results reported in March revealed extensive direct shipping iron ore outside the prefeasibility study pit designs. The deposit’s JORC mineral resource has increased from 24.7 million tonnes to 37.5Mt.

CZR Resources has been cleared to fast-track drilling after receiving heritage approval that it hopes will lead to a 1.6km expansion of its strike length at the northern extension of its Robe Mesa iron ore project in WA’s Pilbara region. The deposit forms part of CZR’s Yarraloola iron ore project, 120km south-west of Karratha. The company says heritage clearance allows it to drill along strike to the north of Robe Mesa’s current mineral resource.

ASX-listed Pilbara iron ore explorer CZR Resources has boosted the mineral resource at its Robe Mesa project in the shadow of a prolific Rio Tinto mine precinct by 20 per cent to 45.2 million tonnes.

Iron ore could be exported from Onslow in WA’s Pilbara region under a new plan hatched between CZR Resources, Strike Resources and CSL Australia.

CZR Resources has expanded its Robe Mesa project in the Pilbara after agreeing to acquire a nearby tenement from Fortescue Metals Group subsidiary FMG Pilbara to the south of Rio Tinto’s Mesa F iron ore project. Subject to the completion of the sale, the company will make a cash payment of $150,000 to Fortescue in addition to 3.3 million CZR shares and a 1 per cent free-on-board revenue royalty covering any future production from the site.

CZR Resources has its sights set on more resource growth at its Robe Mesa iron ore development in the Pilbara after acquiring an adjoining tenement to Rio Tinto’s Mesa F project from Fortescue. After acquiring the ground CZR has expanded its strike length of the company’s P529 deposit to 1.1km. The deposit is only five kilometres from CZR’s 45.2 million tonne Robe Mesa iron ore project.

CZR Resources has cranked up its Pilbara-based Robe Mesa iron ore reserves by a massive 230 per cent to 27.3 million tonnes at 55 per cent iron, or 62.2 per cent iron after calcining. The reserves underpin an initial eight-year mine plan production of 3.5 million tonnes per annum with a cash cost of $57/t. CZR says there is still more scope for project growth.
