Nick Catania

Nicholas Mark "Nick" Catania OAM was an Australian politician. He served as Mayor of the City of Vincent in inner-city Perth, Western Australia between 2001 and 2011. He was a member of the Western Australian Legislative Assembly for the Electoral district of Balcatta between 1989 and 1996. Mr Catania was born in Castell'Umberto, Italy and is the father of National Party politician Vince Catania.

He received a Centenery Medal in 2003, and a Knighthood of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic in 2021. In 2023, Mr Catania was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia for service to the community through a range of roles.
