Michael Wolley

Michael Wolley was non-executive chair of Red Mountain Mining in April 2011 and in April 2012, as part of a board and management restructure, he stepped down as chairman but remained on the board as an independent non-executive director. Mr Wolley was managing director of a junior gold development business, Golden Iron Resources, and prior to that was chief operating officer at Lynas Corporation, an ASX 100 company that is a vertically integrated mining and minerals business with mining and processing facilities in Western Australia and downstream processing in Malaysia. Prior to Lynas Corporation, Mr Wolley held senior executive roles with industrial and construction services businesses across Asia Pacific including as managing director of Asia Pacific for a refrigeration and climate control business, and as president of BlueScope Steel China. Prior to joining BlueScope Steel, he was general manager of operations for Dexion, a business servicing the logistics industry across Asia Pacific. Mr Wolley began his career with Mobil Oil Australia and over a 15-year period, he had held senior roles in engineering, production and planning across Australia and New Zealand.
