Lynas Rare Earths (formerly Lynas Corporation) is an ASX-listed company (ASX: LYC) with a strategy to be a fully integrated supplier of rare earths from mine through to market, and to become the benchmark for security of supply and environmental standards in the global rare earths industry.
The foundation of this strategy is Mount Weld in Western Australia, the richest known deposit of rare earths in the world, located 35km south of Laverton; and a state-of-the-art processing plant, the Lynas Advanced Materials Plant (LAMP), near Kuantan in Pahang, Malaysia.
In December 2020, the company changed its name from Lynas Corporation to Lynas Rare Earths.
At the 2022 Diggers & Dealers Mining Forum, Lynas won the Digger of the Year award which recognises a company that has achieved exceptional results over the last year.
