Maya vanden Driesen began her career with Wesfarmers in 1993 as legal counsel (litigation). Ms vanden Driesen became senior legal counsel for the Corporate Solicitors Office (Perth) in 2009, and general manager (legal - litigation) in 2010 where she oversaw the management and conduct of all litigation and disputes across the Wesfarmers Group. In January 2015, she was appointed group general counsel. Prior to joining Wesfarmers, Maya was with Parker & Parker and Downings Legal, practising law in areas including general commercial, industrial, regulatory and insurance litigation. Ms van den Driesen holds Bachelor of Jurisprudence and Bachelor of Law degrees from University of Western Australia, and was admitted as a barrister and solicitor in 1990. She is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a member and former secretary of the Australian Corporate Lawyers Association (WA Chapter), and a member of the Law Society of Western Australia.
