Kylie Hansen is the co-founder of Impact Investment Alliance of WA, Western Australia’s key reference group for market development and stewardship of impact investment in WA; and co-founder of Impact Seed, Western Australia’s peak capacity builder for impact investment and social enterprise development. She has over 15 years of experience across government, corporate, not-for-profit and social finance sectors. Since co-founding Impact Seed in 2015, Ms Hansen has worked with stakeholders across the community, social finance and government sector to develop frameworks, programs, policy and funding to support the development of an impact investment and measurement ecosystem in WA. Prior to Impact Seed, she was also founding chief executive and director of import & export startup venture Empowering Communities, which focused on international development within and into Cambodia through a B2B and B2C retail social enterprise model. Under her leadership, Empowering Communities established supply agreements across several Southeast Asian countries for raw materials with several suppliers and developed distribution agreements into Australia, US and Europe. Ms Hansen holds a Juris Doctor (postgraduate in Law), Bachelor of Commerce in Human Resource Management, Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Relations, Bachelor of Community Development, Graduate Certificate in Project Management, and a Graduate Certificate in Social Impact.
