NRW to replace MACA through $702m contract
The owner of a major magnetite operation in the Mid West has dropped MACA as its mining contractor, with NRW Holdings set to take over the work next year.
ChangJiang Zhu is an experienced mining engineer with a Mechanical Engineering degree from Northeastern University of China and a Masters in Economics Management.
Mr Zhu has been with Ansteel since 1987 and is a director and chief executive of Karara Mining (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ansteel). He has held various senior maintenance positions across Ansteel’s iron ore operations and was appointed deputy director of production & operations in 2016.
Mr Zhu is a council member of the Metallurgical Mine Association of China. In June 2017, he joined the board of Karara Mining and was subsequently appointed general manager of operations in August 2017 and chief executive in October 2019.
