The Karara project is located 200km east of Geraldton and consists of a substantial, long-life, magnetite concentrate operation plus a smaller-scale hematite operation.
Karara was established in 2007 through a joint venture between Gindalbie Metals Limited and Anshan Iron and Steel Group Corporation. Ansteel now owns a majority stake in the company.
