The company’s technology enables it to “reverse engineer” a comprehensive model of a targeted rare or valuable plant, and reconstruct the “terpene profile” of that plant by using alternative natural sources.
Terpenes are naturally occurring compounds (classified as phytochemicals) which account for the flavour and fragrance of plants. Each plant has its own unique terpene profile, which is the naturally occurring formulation of different individual terpenes. The company’s initial focus is on the analysis and reconstruction of terpene profiles of the cannabis plant.
