The Literature Centre is the only centre of its kind in Australia offering services and programs to nurture young people’s interest in reading and writing as well as supporting authors and illustrators of children and young adult books, including through in-residence programs. The centre, which was established in 1992, visits more than 30,000 students each year, travelling to schools across the state.
