Terrex Seismic is Australia’s leading onshore seismic survey company. It provides 2D and 3D seismic acquisition services, GPS surveying and geophysical processing services to the oil and gas, minerals and government geoscience research sectors. It was founded by Perth-based Steve Tobin, who has 30 years’ experience in the industry. Its head office was moved to Brisbane to support the greater activity on the east coast. Private equity group Allegro bought a majority stake in 2017, with Mr Tobin continuing as a shareholder and executive.
