Super Retail, JB Hi-Fi's first-half earnings boom
Two retail groups which own the Supercheap Auto and JB Hi-Fi stores have reported bumper first-half earnings during the pandemic.
Super Retail Group Limited (SUL) is primarily involved in retailing of auto parts and accessories, tools and equipment, retailing of boating, camping, outdoor equipment, fishing equipment and apparel, and retailing of sporting equipment and apparel.
The group has three divisions: Auto, Outdoor and Sports.

Home furnishings group Adairs has had a bumper first half and customers will see fewer discounts as the company tries to maintain sizeable profit margins.
Super Retail Group, which owns BCF and Supercheap Auto, has reported a first-half profit increase of 201 per cent as Australians looked for leisure alternatives to travel during the pandemic.
Super Retail Group has had first-half profit dive 35 per cent and warns higher freight and transport costs will continue to affect margins.
Super Retail Group's CEO says the Supercheap Auto, Rebel, BCF and Macpac owner had an "outstanding first half" with 11 per cent same-store sales growth.
Super Retail Group allegedly underpaid workers by more than $1 million and is being taken to court by the Ombudsman for contraventions of the Fair Work Act.
