Disaster fund buckles in the tempest
A program designed to help communities recover from natural disasters is encountering significant headwinds.
The Shire of Upper Gascoyne is one ofWestern Australia’s most remote local governments covering an area of 46,602 square kilometres.
The Shire encompasses a number of communities including the Burringurrah Aboriginal Community and the Gascoyne Junction with its main industries being pastoral, mining exploration and tourism.
