Perth bid for $75.3m Solar Cities initiative moves closer
Perth's bid to participate in a $75.3 million national Solar Cities initiative designed to make it a more sustainable city has moved a step closer.
The Shire of Mundaring is located on the eastern fringe of Perth, about 35 kilometres from the Perth CBD.
It includes the suburbs of Bailup, Beechina, Bellevue, Boya, Chidlow, Darlington, Glen Forrest, Gorrie, Greenmount, Helena Valley, Hovea, Mahogany Creek, Malmalling, parts of Midvale, Mount Helena, Mundaring, Parkerville, Sawyers Valley, Stoneville, parts of Swan View, The Lakes, and Wooroloo.

Perth's bid to participate in a $75.3 million national Solar Cities initiative designed to make it a more sustainable city has moved a step closer.
The state government will legislate to include the University of Western Australia, Kings Park, the QEII Medical Centre and the City of Vincent in the City of Perth, but will not include the Burswood Peninsula after that proposal was rejected by the independent Local Government Advisory Board.
