The parent company of WA-based Australian Fast Foods Pty Ltd - owner of the Red Rooster and Chicken Treat brands - has added to its franchising empire with the $60 million acquisition of NSW-based fast food chicken chain, Oporto.

The parent company of Red Rooster and Chicken Treat has its sights set on becoming one of the state’s largest franchise operations after consolidated annual losses doubled this financial year to $14 million.

Owner of fast food chain CHOOKS Fresh & Tasty, Steven Hansen, has sold the Perth-born franchise to Red Rooster and Chicken Treat’s parent company Quick Service Restaurant Holdings.
