The Mount Barker Co-operative was formed by local fruit growers in 1917 (beginning operations in 1918). It currently owns Super IGA, Super IGA Liquor, and Mitre 10 franchises, as well as Mount Barker Fuel Services and offers rural services in cooperation with Elders.
