Today, there are over 980 McDonald’s restaurants across Australia (including 102 in Western Australia) and the company employs more than 105,000 people across its restaurants and management offices. McDonald’s Australia Limited is an unlisted Australian public company. It is a franchise business, with nearly 85% of its restaurants owned and operated by individual businessmen and women. The remainder of the restaurants are owned and run by the company.
