MG Kailis hits US
MG Kailis Group has embarked on the second stage of its long-term marketing campaign to raise the profile and image of Australian lobsters in the US market.
The MG Kailis Group was founded by the late Michael George Kailis and his wife Dr Patricia Kailis in 1962, beginning by catching and trading small rock lobsters in Dongara WA. It has since grown to become a seafood, pearling, jewellery and marine company. The company sold its fishing assets to South African company Sea Harvest in 2022.
The group formed Kailis Pearls in 1974. With an extensive marine history, the group began building and designing boats early in the 1970s. From its pearl farming beginnings, Kailis Jewellery has since grown to become a luxury brand founded on the family’s passion to showcase the beauty of the Australian South Sea Pearl in modern jewellery designs.
