CPC (Consolidated Pastoral Company) is a Queensland-based cattle producer which was established as a company in 1983, but has a history dating back to 1860. It owned and operated a portfolio of 20 cattle stations three of which were in WA: Carlton Hill (including Ivanhoe), Newry, and Argyle Downs. However, in 2019 the company announced deals to sell the Newry and Argyle Downs stations.
The company also holds a 50% interest in a joint venture which owns and operates two feedlots in Indonesia.
CPC direct sales channels primarily involve selling cattle and beef to Asian consumer markets, domestic feedlots or processors, and exporting live cattle.
European private equity firm Terra Firma were the majority shareholder until October 2020 when CPC was sold to the Hands family.
