Councils to combine to press for outer harbour
Six south metropolitan councils are formalising a lobby group to push for development of an outer harbour near Kwinana as the March 2017 state election approaches.
The City of Cockburn is located on the coastline of Western Australia, approximately 22 kilometres south of the Perth CBD, and consists of a total land area of 170 square kilometres.
It is bounded in the north by the Cities of Fremantle, Melville, and Canning; in the east by the City of Armadale; in the south by the Town of Kwinana; and in the west by the Indian Ocean.
It includes the suburbs of Atwell, Aubin Grove, Banjup, Beeliar, Bibra Lake, Cockburn Central, Coogee, Coolbellup, Hamilton Hill, Hammond Park, Henderson, Jandakot, Lake Coogee, parts of Leeming, Munster, North Coogee, North Lake, South Lake, Spearwood, Success, Treeby, Wattleup, and Yangebup.
