Suvo Strategic Minerals has received $380,236 from the Federal government for R & D work on its low carbon cement research under the Federal Government’s R&D Incentive Scheme. The Perth-based company’s licensed proprietary “Colliecrete” technology has achieved a greenhouse gas emissions reduction of about 50 per cent compared to ordinary Portland cement.

BMG Resources is preparing to probe high-grade gold zones at its Abercromby gold project in a round of extensional drilling designed to expand the company’s current maiden 518,000 ounce gold resource at Wiluna. Javelin Minerals has intensified its focus on the company’s two flagship Kalgoorlie gold projects by placing a for sale sign on its Bonaparte copper-silver-lead-zinc project in WA’s Kimberley. Terrain Minerals has nailed what looks like a new gold discovery in WA’s Mid-West region with its first pass drill campaign that followed up on historic arsenic soil anomalies. The maiden campaign at Terrain’s Wildflower project hit 9m at 1.17g/t gold from 30m, including 3m at 2.61g/t gold. The 72-hole, 1710m reconnaissance air-core drilling program also picked up multiple broad zones of lower-grade but geochemically-significant shallow supergene gold.
