Ya-Qin Zhang

Dr Ya-Qin Zhang is a US-based scientist, technologist and business executive with Bachelor and Master degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China, and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from George Washington University.

Dr Zhang is a leader in digital video, artificial intelligence, autonomous driving and cloud computing.

As president of Baidu, a leading Chinese multinational technology company, Dr Zhang led various key functions including technology infrastructure; consumer business; marketing and government relationships; new business initiatives including finance, education, cloud computing, autonomous driving and global business. Prior to joining Baidu, he was a key executive of Microsoft Corporation for 16 years including as corporate vice president for mobile and embedded products, managing director of Microsoft Research Asia, and chair of Microsoft China.
