Dixie Marshall

Dixie Marshall was a former television news presenter and strategic communications director for Colin Barnett, the Premier of Western Australia. She joined the Nine Network in Perth in 1984 as a cadet reporter. She became one of Australia's first female football commentators when she joined the Seven Network in Melbourne in the late 1980s.

Returning to Perth in 1993, Ms Marshall left the sports department for general reporting, and progressed to become the Perth Nine News weeknight presenter. In 2011, Ms Marshall joined the Western Australian Premier Colin Barnett's office as director of government media, before moving into the role of strategic communications director in January 2015.

In April 2017, Ms Marshall was appointed head of creative and partnerships of Western Australia's The Story Lab, Dentsu Aegis Network’s global premium entertainment content business that invests, produces and distributes brand aligned storytelling solutions. She led the Perth team as it expanded its footprint in Western Australia and integrates its services across Dentsu Aegis Network’s local and global brands. She left The Story Lab in September 2018 and became head of Flare's Perth office in October 2018 before becoming managing director of Marketforce in December 2020.
