Lavan Legal was formed on 3 April 2006 when the majority of Perth partners of the national firm Phillips Fox recognised a niche in the marketplace for an independent legal practice. Prior to 2006, Lavan had traded under the names Phillips Fox, Lavan Solomon and Lavan & Walsh. Lavan and its predecessor firms have provided legal services in Western Australia since 1898.
Lavan meets the needs of the Western Australian business community by offering the infrastructure and expertise of a national firm, the flexibility and service levels of a boutique firm, and the inherent market knowledge and feel of a local firm.
