Allens is an international law firm with offices throughout Australia and Asia.
On 1 May 2012, it formed an integrated alliance with Linklaters. It traces its history back to the 1800s via Allen Allen & Hemsley in Sydney, Feez Ruthning & Co in Brisbane and two firms in Melbourne, Arthur Robinson & Co and Hedderwicks Fookes & Alston.
In 1997 it entered the Perth market after ending an alliance with former leading WA firm Parker & Parker which, soon after, merged with Freehill Hollingdale & Page (now Herbert Smith Freehills).
It became Allens Arthur Robinson after the final significant Australian merger in 2001 and subsequently became known as Allens.
