CHOOKS fresh & tasty aimed to be the ‘champion of chicken’ and was dedicated to providing the freshest and tastiest chicken and chips to local communities across Australia. CHOOKS’ clearly defined strategy and business model saw its profit and growth steadily increase since its major rebranding campaign growing from 15 stores in 2003 to 40 stores – with 34 of those located in Western Australia. Since 2006 CHOOKS has featured and ranked in both BRW’s Fast Franchise and Fastest Growing Franchise lists.

Quick Service Restaurant Holdings (QSRH) acquired Chooks Fresh & Tasty in October 2010 and rebranded them to Chicken Treat.
