Technology company Track'em has secured a 12-month contract with Downer, which will use its cloud-based software for operations on an LNG asset in Western Australia.

Track'em said Downer would use its Materials and Stores Management Solutions software to help track assets and materials during operations.

Chief executive and Business News 40under40 award winner Kashif Saleem said Track’em was pleased to continue its relationship with Downer.

“Downer seeks to improve visibility within their value chains for consumables, tooling and materials by selecting Track’em, and we are honoured to provide them with our industry leading tracking solution,” he said.

Downer contract manager James Hopping agreed the technology would help the company carry out its operations more effectively.

He said Downer had previously used Track’em’s software on other projects.

The contract builds on Track’em’s recent agreement with Monadelphous, which will use the technology to track construction materials across some of its major mining projects.

It will also use Track'em's patented Building Information Modelling (BIM) software to supplement its current BIM models with a digital twin of construction progress and material status.
