“Following the lead of the Department’s commitment to establishing inclusive communities, we have taken care to complement a mix of diverse housing solutions. Burt Street will also include live-work artist studios and makerspace to encourage emerging talents to access affordable accommodation and studio space,” Mr Hillam said.
“It was crucial too, that we incorporate sustainability initiatives into the blueprint to future proof the apartments and ensure they remain affordable in the long term.”
Following a period of community consultation and development approvals, the first stage of works is anticipated for October 2021.
