Following on from their recent announcement of obtaining a first ever Diamond Sponsor, the Lateral INCITE Awards today revealed an Exclusive Media Partner - Business News.
Having been a previous general sponsor, Business News is continuing its support of the Lateral INCITE Awards as the program enters its 29th year of showcasing technology and digital innovation in our State.
Sue Findlay, Chair of the Lateral INCITE Awards, commented on the importance of Business News’ support in further sharing the message that WA is one of the leaders for ICT advancement across the nation and around the globe.
“For close to 30 years, the Awards program has supported the successful progression, investment opportunities and market adaptation of over 500 digital projects by WA’s tech leaders and organisations or businesses,” said Sue.
“Our exclusive media partnership with Business News - WA’s leading general business news and information service - will enhance our support for the State’s ICT industry to new and heightened levels.”
“This will happen through sharing breaking news on our innovators through not only Business News’ editorial but also via the BNiQ - the most comprehensive, searchable database on Western Australian business available, and a powerful knowledge base for investment research and business development.”
The Exclusive Media Partnership has been signed for a three year period between Business News and Lateral INCITE Awards.
Mark Pownall, Director of Strategy and Innovation at Perth-based digitally-focused publisher Business News, said he was pleased to support the Lateral INCITE Awards with a multi-year commitment that provided the opportunity to cement a long-term partnership.
“Business News believes innovation is not just important for our own business but for the development of Western Australia,” said Mark.
“We appreciate the opportunity these awards offer for us to recognise businesses that are breaking new ground and tell the stories of the entrepreneurs behind them.”
Entries for the 29th Lateral INCITE Awards are now opened and innovators, organisations, companies and students who have developed a tech solution (in one of the Awards’ seven categories) or contributed to the advancement of ICT industry in our State are encouraged to enter.
Final submission is due at midnight on Thursday 27 February 2020.
Following that, entrants go through a professional development process of successful business pitching to a panel of experienced judges (made of WA’s digital leaders) and various workshops/events to further their skills in marketing, social media, public speaking, financial literacy and more.
