Business News and APIL have signed a three-year agreement for the property investment syndicate to sponsor the long-running 40under40 Awards.
The deal includes APIL supporting the People's Choice award, which will again be one of the highlights of the 40under40 program as it enters its 22nd year.
Business News chief executive Charles Kobelke said the tie-up with APIL was a good match.
“It has been great to partner with APIL over the past couple of years and it was a natural fit when the opportunity arose to bring together a major partnership for our 40under40 Awards,” he said.
“With an established 29 commercial property syndicates, totalling a combined value of more than $1 billion, APIL’s support ensures the sustainability of our 40under40 Awards program supporting and celebrating Western Australia’s business community and leaders.
“We are really grateful to have APIL as our partner on 40under40 for the next three years."
APIL managing director Peter Hughes said the agreement demonstrated the two businesses' complementary strengths.
“APIL and Business News have forged a strong relationship to provide the Perth business sector with informative property-related market commentary,” Mr Hughes said.
“The 40under40 Awards are important and APIL had no hesitation in partnering with Business News as it recognises the entrepreneurial and hard-working efforts of young professionals in WA.
“Over the past two decades, APIL has witnessed Business News ascend to become Perth’s most prominent business communication platform.
“APIL is a family-owned business with two generations directing the business' operations. The APIL business model is to acquire strategic investments that provide both high-income dividends and capital growth opportunity.”
In 2022, APIL celebrated 21 years in the WA business community, providing property investment opportunities to both local and interstate investors.
This year’s 40under40 Awards are set to be held on Friday May 5 at Crown Perth.
