Dr Zygmunt "Ziggy" Switkowski AO was chief executive and managing director of Telstra, chief executive of Optus, and chair and managing director of Kodak (Australasia).
Dr Switkowski is also director of Tabcorp, chair of Suncorp Group and NBN Co, and chancellor of the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. He was appointed chair of Crown Resorts in August 2021.
Dr Switkowski was formerly chair of the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation and Opera Australia.
In 2014, Dr Switkowski was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia for distinguished services to the community, particularly to tertiary education administration, scientific organisations and the telecommunications sector, to business, and to the arts.
He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering, and the Australian Academy of Science.
