Tony Pignata
Tony Pignata has been a chief executive within the sports sector for over 13 years.
He joined Perth Glory Football Club in 2018 and was chief executive of Sydney Football Club for 5 years prior. In 2016/17, Sydney FC blitzed the competition comfortably winning the premiership (home-and-away season) and the A-League Grand Final. In 2019, Perth Glory took home the Premiers’ Plate for finishing top of the ladder but lost to Sydney FC in the A-League Grand Final on penalty shootout. Mr Pignata stepped down from Perth Glory in September 2022 in order to move back to Victoria to be close to his family.
In 2016, Mr Pignata was named one of the Top 20 CEOs on Twitter by KPMG and one of Australia’s Top 21 CEOs by the Australian Financial Review.
