Timo Jauristo

Timo Jauristo has over 35 years' experience in the gold mining industry. Mr Jauristo was executive vice president, corporate development of Goldcorp. He spent 15 years with Placer Dome in various operating and corporate roles. Mr Jauristo was involved in numerous merger and acquisition transactions in many of the major gold producing regions of the world. Between leaving Placer Dome in 2005 and joining Goldcorp in 2009, Mr Jauristo was chief executive of two junior mining companies with exploration and development assets mostly in Peru. He was also part of the team that discovered the Osborne copper - gold deposit in Queensland.
