Dr Tim Coughlin is an exploration and structural geologist with over 30 years of industry experience in exploring for gold, copper and base metals in Australia, New Guinea, the Americas, the Middle East and Eastern Europe.
Dr Coughlin has been responsible for the discovery of two new major gold deposits in Peru and Armenia; and has held senior exploration management, project generation and consulting positions with various major mining
companies including as AngloGold Ashanti’s chief geologist in South America. He also discovered the Amulsar gold deposit in Armenia (+5MOz gold resource) and founded Lydian International which listed on the TSX in 2008.
Dr Coughlin holds a Master of Science in Exploration and Mining Geology from James Cook University, and a PhD at the University of Queensland on the Structural Geology of the Central Andes in relation to copper and gold mineralization.
Dr Coughlin is a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.
