Terence Palmer SC has practiced as a barrister for over 15 years. He was admitted to the Western Australian Bar Association in 2008 and appointed a Senior Counsel in 2021.
Mr Palmer commenced practice in 1998 and spent 10 years as a solicitor in private practice and for the WA Government. He has experience in domestic and international arbitration in all State and Federal Courts, having represented a range of clients from the construction, mining, oil & gas industries and the insurance, finance and medical sectors.
Mr Palmer became a Judge of the District Court at the end of July 2023. Prior to that, he has been a barrister with Quayside Chambers for over 6.5 years, barrister at Francis Burt Chambers for over 8 years, a special counsel at the Australian Securities and Investments Commission for 2 years, and a solicitor & senior associate of Clayton Utz.
