Better business by association
Professional associations in WA have recorded significant growth in membership over the past five years.
The Law Society of Western Australia is the peak professional association for lawyers in this state.
Established in 1927, the Society is a not-for-profit association dedicated to the representation of its 3400 members and the enhancement of the legal profession through being a respected leader and contributor on law reform, access to justice and the rule of law.
The Society is widely acknowledged by the legal profession, government and the community as the “Voice” of the legal profession in Western Australia.

The 2009 Australian young lawyer of the year, Matthew Keogh, has been elected unopposed as the 2015 president of the Law Society of Western Australia.At age 33, Mr Keogh will be the youngest ever president of the society since it was founded in 1927.
