Limited union role likely in Labor policy
What role will unions and factions play in Mark McGowan’s second term?
Stuart Aubrey has been a Labor Party Member of the Western Australia Legislative Assembly for Scarborough since 2021, defeating former Liberal Party leader Liza Harvey who had held the seat since 2008.
He joined the Labor party when he was 21 and worked as a Labor staffer, including for Roger Cook.
Prior to entering politics, Mr Aubrey spent almost seven years as a fly-in fly-out electrician in the resources industry. He is also a volunteer at the Scarboro Surf Life Saving Club.
