Steve Herlihy is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor with over 30 years of professional experience in corporate governance, risk management, mergers, acquisitions and business improvement.
Prior to becoming the chief financial officer and company secretary of Bannerman Energy in January 2022, Mr Herlihy was an executive director and partner of Pitcher Partners in Perth where he led the consultancy practice. He was also the founding partner of a chartered accounting firm where he specialised in strategic planning, business optimisation, tax planning, corporate structures and compliance services. Prior to public practice, Mr Herlihy held a number of executive financial and commercial roles within tier-one organisations, including at BHP where he was its financial controller.
Mr Herlihy is a Fellow of CPA, Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA), and Fellow of The Tax Institute. He holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from Curtin University, a Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from FINSIA, and an MBA from Deakin University.
