Twenty Seven Co has entered an agreement with mega-miner Rio Tinto’s exploration arm covering a six month exclusive option period to explore for non-gold minerals at its North Rover project near Sandstone in WA. Rio can earn an 80 per cent interest in non-gold minerals at the tenement by spending $5 million on it.

Twenty Seven Co has advanced its battery metals strategy by securing an option to earn a 100 per cent interest in the highly prospective Mt Edon lithium, caesium and tantalum mining lease in WA’s Mid West region. Twenty Seven Co will initially fund a due diligence work program at the project that will include 500m of RC drilling to a minimum of $140,000 before making a final commitment.

After a run of rock sampling, Twenty Seven Co has confirmed pegmatite fertility within the company’s Mt Edon lithium, caesium and tantalum mining lease in WA’s Mid West region. Rock samples were found to grade up to 2.7 per cent lithium oxide, 1046ppm caesium oxide and 5057ppm tantalum oxide. A total of nine rock chip samples were taken from four outcropping locations across a pegmatite field spanning 6.4 km.

Everest Metals Corporation has paved the way for a new year battery metals hunt in WA’s Mid West region after announcing its intent to exercise an exclusive farm-in deal to earn a 51 per cent stake in the Mt Edon lithium, caesium and tantalum project. The deal follows a recent due diligence program that yielded encouraging RC drill results of up to 1220 parts per million lithium.

It has totally renewed its board which is now led by mining man Mark Caruso and assisted by COO and former finance professional Simon Phillips. The new board has its foot on a curious new project that boasts multiple near surface gold reefs and hints of DeGrussa-style copper at depth.

With mapping now completed, new outcropping identified and geophysics kicking off before a diamond drilling campaign next quarter, Everest Metals is getting closer to full ownership of its Mt Edon project in WA. The company says its most recent mapping program, covering over 192.4 hectares, delivered another surprising exploration windfall, with several new lithium-ceasium-tantalium pegmatites and quartz bearing veins identified this time, all of which were not previously known to the company before.

Everest Metals believes the identification of a raft new pegmatites has significantly boosted the potential of its Mt Edon mining lease near Paynes Find. Deep Ground Penetration Radar survey over 21 line kilometres shows 133 pegmatite-like anomalies prospective for lithium-tantalum and rare earths mineralisation that extends to depths greater than 50m. The discovery has sparked a new drilling program, to start within a fortnight.

Everest Metals has a nice problem – there is too much visible nuggetty gold in the reefs at its Revere gold project and it will turn to a bulk sampling program to get a better handle on tonnes and grade. Everest says it might be able to mine Revere courtesy of a simple mobile “Gekko” mining plant and has wrapped an exploration target around the project.
