Simon Howard’s professional experience has predominantly been based in the professional service industry within Australia and the UK.
He started his career in the taxation division of Ernst & Young in Perth and worked his way up to become senior accountant before leaving for the UK in March 2003. His responsibilities included tax compliance and tax planning related work for a variety of large and listed companies. In the UK, Mr Howard worked for a large private business called 1st Contact where he progressively moved up the ranks to ultimately become managing director of structured products, based in London, and managing director, international based in Melbourne. After contract roles at KPMG and NAB in Melbourne, Mr Howard returned to Perth to assume the role of chief executive at Knight (formerly NKH Knight) where he is involved in the formulation and delivery of the group strategy as well as the day-to-day management of the business.
