Knight Group started as Cruikshank, Nissen & Associates in 1971. It was changed to Nissen, Kestel & Plummer in 1984, and then Nissen, Kestel & Harford in 1992. In 2005, financial adviser firm Knight joined the group and, with further growth, it became NKH Financial Services in 2008.
In 2013, it became NKH Knight and subsequently rebranded to Knight Group. In 2024, Knight's accounting business became part of the Bentleys network as Bentleys WA.
