Roy Hill project on track
The $10 billion Roy Hill project remains on track to start mining next year and achieve its first iron ore exports in the third quarter of 2015, its project director said today.

Sanjiv Manchanda was the chief executive of Atlas Iron since October 2018, while continuing in his position as head of project development for Hancock Prospecting. He became chief executive of projects at Hancock Prospecting in late January 2023.
Mr Manchanda was the project director and chief operating officer for the Roy Hill project as the operation ramped up to nameplate capacity. He also has experience operating large complex developments and working with international organisations including in Korea, Japan and China, Canada, England and Indonesia.
Mr Manchanda is an electrical engineer with an MBA, and a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Australia and the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.
