Sabine Winton is a Labor Party Member of the Western Australia Legislative Assembly for Wanneroo.
Following Labor's win in the 2021 state election, she became the Parliamentary Secretary to the Premier Mark McGowan. In the 2022 cabinet reshuffle, Ms Winton was appointed the Minister for Early Childhood Education, Child Protection, Prevention of Family and Domestic Violence, and Community Services.
Following the resignation of Mr McGowan in June 2023, Ms Winton kept the same portfolios as Minister for Early Childhood Education, Child Protection, Prevention of Family & Domestic Violence, and Community Services under the Cook government.
Ms Winton has been involved in the Wanneroo community for a number of years. She was a prominent member of the Lake Nowergup/Carabooda Valley Community Group which successfully campaigned to preserve the area from development, and is a councillor for the Northern Ward of the City of Wanneroo since 2013.
Ms Winton has been a teacher for 27 years and is currently a Primary Extension and Challenge Coordinator for the North Metropolitan Education Region. She was an organiser at the State School Teachers Union.
