
Associate Professor Rosanna Capolingua AM has extensive experience across health care delivery and the medical profession. She has held many senior committee, taskforce, executive, board and chair positions in the health sector at State and Federal levels.
Dr Capolingua has been involved as a board member of Australian Medical Association (WA) Services, medical director of the AMA (WA) Youth Foundation, chair of the Child and Adolescent Health Services WA, member of Mutual Board of MDA National, alternate director of MDANI, board member of the UWA Raine Foundation, board member of the University of Notre Dame Australia, and board member of Catholic Homes Inc. She chairs the Western Australian Immunisation Strategy Committee and is a board member of St John of God Healthcare and the AMA Indigenous Scholarship Foundation.
She is the medical director of the AMA WA Foundation, and an advisor and mentor to the Dr YES program which is the Catholic Home's preventative health program for youth.
Dr Capolingua was elected Federal president of the Australian Medical Association from 2007-2009. She was also the youngest, the first and only female president of the State AMA from 1998-2000.
She is a general practitioner and owner of a general practice which teaches medical students and GP Registrars.
In 2023, Dr Capolingua was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia for significant service to patient care, to medicine, and as a role model to women.
