Motorsports at crossroads
Motorsport in WA faces a pivotal moment next month when the WA Sporting Car Club holds an extraordinary general meeting.
Ron Alexander AM was director-general of the Western Australian Department of Sport and Recreation, where he worked for over 18 years. He was a former Australian rules footballer who played in the Victorian Football League and West Australian Football League, and the inaugural coach of the West Coast Eagles.
In 2019, Mr Alexander was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia for significant service to sport and recreation, and to public administration.
