As a Graduate of the UWA Medical School, Dr Rod Moore began his career in general practice and has been in specialist sports medicine and musculoskeletal practice since 1995, including a long period as a doctor to the West Coast Eagles Football Club. Dr Moore was appointed a director of HBF in October 2012. He is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and since 2014, he has been the chair of major Australian medical indemnity provider MDA National having served as a councillor since 1998, as a director of the Mutual Board of MDA National in 2011 and MDA National Insurance in 2007. Dr Moore was also a member of the Physiotherapy Registration Board, member of the AMA-Law Society Medico Legal Committee, served on the WA Chamber of Commerce and Industry Primary Health Care Committee, and director of Calico Global until October 2012.
