Richard Dammery was a senior executive and lawyer with over 30 years of experience across the telecommunications, retail, infrastructure, technology, health and legal sectors prior to commencing his non-executive career.
Mr Dammery was the chief legal officer and company secretary of Woolworths from September 2014 to January 2019. Prior to that, he was a senior corporate partner with law firm MinterEllison, general counsel and company secretary of Coles Group prior to its acquisition by Wesfarmer, and held various general counsel and general management roles as well as working in private legal practice.
Mr Dammery holds a Bacherlor of Arts (Honours) and LLB from Monash University, an MBA from the University of Melbourne, a PhD from University of Cambridge, and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
