The success of the demerger process at two Australian businesses – News Corp and Brambles – has led to calls for more of them, with fingers again being pointed at Wesfarmers.
Brambles (ASX: BXB) is an ASX-listed supply-chain logistics group specialising in the pooling of unit-load equipment and associated services.
The company focuses on the outsourced management of pallets, crates and containers.

Precast concrete manufacturer PERMAcast has recruited former Bis Industries boss Chris Berkefeld as its new chairman, following the retirement of founding director Grey Egerton-Warburton.
The ASX has finished in the green, with Brambles posting double-digit gains after the pallet giant confirmed it had been approached about a buyout.
