Empire Beer makes Royal purchase
Western Australian boutique brewing company Empire Beer Group Ltd has snapped up East Perth's Royal Bar and Brasserie for $3.5 million.

Phillip Gallagher has extensive experience in senior commercial and operational roles in private and public companies.
He also had extensive experience in mineral exploration in West Africa, having been the co-founder and managing director of ASX-listed Canyon Resources for 12 years. Mr Gallagher led, and successfully finalised, negotiations with the Government of Cameroon to secure the Minim Martap Bauxite Project for Canyon Resources. He was also the managing director of ASX-listed Empire Beer Group, and marketing manager of Western Australia for the Fosters Group.
On October 15 2024, African Gold announced Mr Gallagher would step down from his role as managing director, although would stay for a further three months in order to provide a smooth transition.
