Phil Montgomery is a mining industry executive with significant experience in project development and operations, having held senior project development roles at BHP and Billiton for over 20 years and working across a number of commodities and geographies including leadership of BHP’s Iron Ore growth program from 2002 to 2012. As vice president of projects at BHP from 2014 to 2018, he was responsible for the development of its potash business through its Jansen project in Saskatchewan, Canada.

Mr Montgomery holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Oxford Brookes University in the UK, and completed the Executive Leadership Programme at INSEAD.
